A customer at our Peugeot Bradford dealership has donated the proceeds of the sale of her family car to The Prince’s Trust in memory of her late husband.
Well-known Leeds family doctor Douglas Inch and his wife Patricia have been customers of Peugeot Bradford for over 20 years. After losing her husband, Patricia decided their eight year old vehicle, which they had owned since almost new, was too much for her and approached our dealership about taking it off her hands.
“We were happy to help Mrs Inch to dispose of her Peugeot and delighted when she chose to donate the proceeds to our nominated charity, the Prince’s Trust,” explained Richard Rowe, head of business at our Peugeot Bradford dealership. “Using our contacts, we were able to sell the vehicle via a local auction house which told bidders the moving story behind the car, subsequently selling it on our behalf for £3,250, all of which will be donated to the charity.
“We really appreciate Mrs Inch’s generosity – she has said that while her husband will be sadly missed, she is pleased that he is being remembered in this way.”
Lucy Hornsby, head of philanthropy for The Prince’s Trust in the North of England, comments: “We would like to add our thanks to Mrs Inch, it is an incredibly generous donation which will support our work with young people who are unemployed or struggling at school, helping them to transform their lives.”
