Audi’s seven-seat SUV gets facelift and tech update

Audi has brought the Q7 into line with the flagship Q8, thanks to a raft of styling enhancements and infotainment advances.

As well as a distinctive new design which includes Audi’s signature Matrix LED headlamps, there are also updates to the line-up of powertrains, all of which now include 48-volt mild hybrid technology.

The German car manufacturer have also improved the driving dynamics of the large Q7, making the newest iteration more manoeuvrable, precise and agile than before, particularly in urban traffic and tight spaces.

The redesign has resulted in a vehicle that is 11mm longer than the outgoing version, and coupled with the existing large dimensions, the Q7 has class-leading headroom in the front and rear.

The digital cockpit now includes two large, high resolution displays, both of which provide haptic and acoustic feedback to input.

MMI navigation plus is standard across the range, which incorporates LTE connectivity and natural voice control for easy use.

Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system is very much present in the updated Q7, too, and air suspension provides variable ground clearance for some off-road ability.

The updated Q7 will be available in the UK from September. For more information, contact your nearest JCT600 Audi dealership now.
