The Concept #2 was revealed at smart’s ‘Change of Perspectives’ Global Brand Event in Beijing on 22 April 2026, providing the first physical preview of the upcoming all-electric model and showcasing the brand’s evolving approach to compact urban mobility.

From every angle, the Concept #2 reflects smart’s focus on compact proportions and agile design. Created for modern city environments, the #2 combines a small footprint with a bold and contemporary appearance, staying true to the practicality and manoeuvrability that originally defined the smart brand.

Built on smart’s new Electric Compact Architecture (ECA), the Concept #2 introduces the platform that will support the brand’s next generation of compact electric vehicles.

Design of the smart #2 has been led by the Mercedes-Benz Global Design team, bringing a modern and progressive approach to the vehicle’s styling. The concept demonstrates how smart intends to blend distinctive design with functionality across its future compact models.

Following its debut in Beijing, smart has confirmed that a production version of the smart #2 is planned to make its world premiere later in 2026 in Paris.
