The smart #1 represents the start of a new era for a company best known for those tiny city cars you see taking advantage of impossibly small parking spaces.

The exterior is forward-thinking and progressive with features such as concealed electric door handles, frameless doors, and the floating halo roof. At every angle there is always a new detail to explore. 

Inside of the new Smart #1 the design will remain faithful to the concept car shown last year. It has a flat-bottomed steering wheel with the digital driver’s display set behind it. You get a floating centre console on the Smart that’s covered in metallic trim, as well as some funky-looking ambient lighting. The full-length panoramic sunroof makes for a light and airy cabin.

Currently available in three trim levels smart have released the #1 Pro+, Premium and Brabus lines. With the Pro+, you can enjoy a seamless driving experience that is all about convenience. The smart #1 Premium combines first-class convenience and premium design to offer an exceptional driving experience. Finally, the Brabus collaboration brings sportiness to the next level for a thrilling driving experience.

Following in October the Launch Edition #1 will be available in limited numbers. The launch edition will feature a special white and gold paint scheme, along with unique 19-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights and a Beats audio system.

All models get a 66kWh battery, the Smart #1 Pro+ has 260 miles of claimed range. The Premium model bumps this up to 273 miles and 248 miles on the four-wheel drive Brabus.
