Vauxhall has released news of an update to its large van, the Movano, which will go on sale later in the year.
The Movano is the largest vehicle in Vauxhall’s van line-up, available in three heights and four different lengths, and with a maximum payload of more than two tonnes along with 17 cubic metres of cargo space. Impressively, as many as 150 different versions of the van are available from the factory, allowing for specialist requirements and conversions.
Safety has been a key focus in the development of the Movano, with brand new features including a blind sport monitoring system, which uses ultrasonic sensors with LED indicators in the corresponding mirror. There’s also a rear vision camera system, and a lane departure warning with an audible alarm is available as a cost option.
Side-Wind Assistant also comes as standard on all models, whilst the Electronic Stability Programme automatically activates in high winds.
The interior features a Navi 5.0 IntelliLink Pro infotainment system which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and there is also a wireless charging pad for smartphones. Optional comfort seats are available for the driver and passenger, while an air-cushioned driver’s seat is also available.
Inside the cargo area, there is LED lighting and new handles on the side-walls and pillars.
The updated Movano will go on sale this summer.
