His BMW 125i M Sport will be covered in a special ‘platinum’ paint scheme with black lettering to mark the 70th anniversary of JCT600.
JCT600 has risen from a small garage business to the trusted car dealer that it is today, achieving a £1billion turnover last year, and has over 50 dealerships and 2,500 employees.
The championship leader hopes that the new livery will bring him some good luck over the course of the weekend, commenting: “It’s an honour to celebrate the platinum anniversary of JCT600 with a special livery at Croft. When I saw the first designs of the livery, I thought ‘that’s pretty cool’ and then when I saw the car in person, it looked even better. JCT600 started in Yorkshire, so for a local boy like me to be able to mark the 70th year of the family business in this way – and at the only Yorkshire circuit in the BTCC - makes me feel very proud.”
This weekend is the fifth of 10 events in this year’s BTCC, with every race screened live and exclusively on ITV4 in HD.
