Robert Dearlove from Volkswagen Van Centre Hull wins EPAC naming competition

Robert Dearlove has been chosen as the winner of the Electronic Parts and Accessories Catalogue competition to name the system that will replace the EPAC.

The 28-year-old sales executive from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Hull came up with the name PIP, which stands for Product Information Portal.

He was presented with his prize, an iPad Pro, which he is giving to his girlfriend for her birthday. The day of the presentation coincided with Robert’s birthday, so he was also given a bottle of champagne, too!

Robert said: “I saw the competition on the Hub one morning and decided to start noting down a few ideas. After five or 10 minutes of coming up with ideas it was clear Product Information Portal stood out from the rest, so I typed it up and submitted it.

“I was actually on holiday in America when I saw the email confirming I had won it came as quite a surprise. I am very happy to be a part of the new EPAC system, now known as PIP.”

Well done Robert!
