Bradford-based motor retailer JCT600 are big winners in the first-ever Inspiring Automotive Women Awards, with four colleagues taking prizes at a glittering ceremony held in London.
Women from different areas of the JCT600 structure were celebrated in the IAW Awards, exemplifying the strength and breadth of female colleagues at JCT600.
Katie Saunders [Group HR Director], Tracey Wardell [Head of Customer Experience], Donna Stoakes [Service Manager at JCT600 Mercedes-Benz of Doncaster], and Georgina Slack [Specialist Technician at JCT600 Brooklands] were the company’s winners, while Georgina was also recognised with the evening’s only Trailblazer Award – an award to recognise an individual who is leading the way for women in a particular sector of the industry.
Katie Saunders, HR Director for JCT600, and herself an award-recipient, said: “I’m so pleased for our award-winners, Georgina, Tracey, and Donna, and I’m incredibly proud of all the other women at JCT600 who were nominated. It’s a real credit to the direction that we’re heading in as a company, and for my colleagues to be recognised in this way is really fantastic.”
Julia Muir, CEO Gaia Innovation, founder of the UK Automotive 30% Club, said: “All of our fabulous award winners have demonstrated that they are making a significant contribution to their business. However, they are also committed to inspiring other women to progress or encouraging leaders to create inclusive working environments within which women will thrive, and personally involved in activities to show that the automotive sector is a positive career choice for women.”
JCT600 have been a proud member of the club since the turn of the year, and are already leading the way in female representation in business.
25% of all colleagues are female, while 28% of the company’s senior leadership team are female.
The Automotive 30% Club is committed to driving the industry towards having 30% of key leadership positions occupied by female colleagues by 2030, though JCT600 aim to drive beyond that target over the coming decade.
