An apprenticeship is a paid role that allows you to gain hands-on work experience while completing training and studies. The apprenticeship is typically split as 20% for training and 80% for getting valuable experience in the workplace.
Apprenticeships are open to people aged 16 and over who have left full-time education. They’re ideal whether you’re starting your career, looking to change career direction, or wanting to build on your existing skills.
At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll complete a final assessment, which leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
People often associate apprenticeships with trades, like joinery, plumbing, or electrics. But there are apprenticeships available in a variety of industries, including the motor industry.
Each year, a large proportion of our apprentices join us as Apprentice Technicians, learning how to work on vehicles in our workshops. They gain experience alongside highly skilled colleagues and benefit from bespoke training programmes created by our manufacturer partners, including Volkswagen, Audi, Kia, CUPRA, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and more.
We also offer customer-facing apprenticeships, such as Sales, Service and Parts Advisor roles. These follow the same structure of training alongside practical experience, making them a great way to learn a role quickly and effectively.

Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician

Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner
To apply for an apprenticeship at JCT600, you’ll need GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 (A–C) in English and Maths. For a Motor Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship, a Science subject is also required.
All apprentices who successfully qualify are guaranteed a role at JCT600.
We’re committed to supporting every apprentice throughout their journey. If someone struggles with their qualification, we provide additional support and, where needed, the opportunity to resit their final assessment.
If an apprentice doesn’t complete their course but demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive attitude, we’ll always try to find a suitable alternative role within the business.
Over the last two years, we’ve welcomed nearly 100 apprentices across our sites and divisions. We take pride in providing strong support, high-quality training and long-term career opportunities.
As part of our work with the Automotive 30% Club, we’re also committed to increasing female representation across the motor industry and are proud to have welcomed many female apprentices in recent years.
