Say hello to CUPRA’s latest SUV concept. The CUPRA Tindaya is a striking show car that combines forward-thinking design with electrified performance, offering a glimpse of what’s next for the brand.
From every angle, there’s plenty of detail to take in - from the distinctive shark-nose front end to the split roof spoiler and rear diffuser, all sitting on 23-inch wheels with intricate parallel spokes.
Inside, the 2+2 cabin carries the same modern theme, with supportive individual seats and a full-length centre console. A yoke-style steering wheel replaces the traditional setup, while a curved 24-inch digital instrument cluster takes centre stage. Physical controls are kept to a minimum, with no infotainment touchscreen included, as the focus is all about driving.
Performance is impressive too. Dual electric motors deliver 489PS to all four wheels, making the Tindaya CUPRA’s most powerful model to date. It accelerates from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds.
An electric-only range of 300km is extended to around 1,000km thanks to a 1.5-litre petrol range extender. Built on VW Group’s upcoming Scalable Systems Platform, the concept points to a new era of flexibility and performance.
While not a direct preview of a production car, the Tindaya sets the direction for CUPRA’s future design and technology. Confident, modern, and distinctly CUPRA.
