Volkswagen are embracing their electric future with their first fully-electric, purpose-built EV.
The ID.3 is the first member of VW’s ID sub-brand, a family of cars that promises to offer everything good about Volkswagen in a package that’s totally electrified.
The design is unmistakably Volkswagen, with signature headlamps and a familiar hatchback profile, along with great build quality and impressive materials.
It’s familiar inside, too, but there’s new cutting edge technology included that really sets the ID.3 out as a car of the future. Bright, colourful screens provide driver information and infotainment, and the optional augmented reality heads-up display throws additional data right into the eye-line of the driver.
There’s plenty of room for five occupants in the spacious cabin too, thanks to the ID.3’s bespoke platform, which means interior space is maximised for the width and length of the car. There’s also a generously sized boot, so you can carry the luggage as well as the people.
Choose between 45kWh, 58kWh, or 77kWh batteries depending on the range and performance you want from your ID.3. Acceleration to 60mph comes up in as little as 5.5 seconds on the long-range model, which delivers 342 miles on a single charge.
