The new CLS is fierce competition with its brand new facelift. There is a new entry-level specification, consisting of AVANTGARDE Exterior as standard; highlighting a new front apron with prominent air intakes, two louvres at the sides, and front splitter in silver chrome. The rear apron compromises of a black diffuser-look insert with a silver-chrome trim strip. Whilst two additional designs are available for the 19-inch light-alloy wheels.
In particular the AMG line front end has been enriched with new radiator grilles and bumpers; helping to express the vigour of the four-door coupé like never before - including an AMG-specific front apron with A-wing in black, a front splitter in silver chrome, sporty, distinctive air intakes with vertical bars and aerodynamically shaped flics in high-gloss black – plus, additional features include the AMG sill trim on the side and AMG spoiler lip on the boot.
Not only has the exterior had an update, the interior has had a refresh too. Now featuring a redesigned nappa leather multifunction steering wheel, with spokes finished in high-gloss black accompanied with silver chrome edging, and chrome paddle shifters. Furthermore, both the AVANTGARDE and AMG Line exterior options offer new interior trim finishes, covering the centre console, available in open-pore brown walnut or high-gloss grey wood. Whilst, the option of leather seat upholstery has also been expanded, with a choice of Neva grey/magma grey and sienna brown/black.
The model range has also expanded, with a latest-generation diesel powertrain. The CLS is expected to appear in showrooms this summer, with entry-level models costing from around £55,000.
