To celebrate Marco Wittmann winning the German Touring Car Masters championship, BMW M has unveiled an upgraded version of the M4 coupe; the M4 DTM Champion Edition.
This souped-up model has 500bhp, goes from 0-62 in 3.8 seconds and has a limited top speed of 190mph, whilst also offering respectable emission and efficiency statistics.
For improved performance, the engine has innovative water injection technology that cools the combustion chamber, raising the power unit’s thermally-related performance limits by 16 per cent on top of the normal version.
Decked out in the famous BMW livery of Alpine White base with sky blue, dark blue and red stripes, the M4 DTM looks like a racer for the road, thanks to additional aerodynamic tweaks at the front and rear – including a rear wing.
To give it that racing feel inside, the model is fitted with M Carbon bucket seats covered in Alcantara/Leather Merino, with the rest of the interior covered in Alcantara for a premium feel. Also, an M Sport steering wheel and white rollover bar kit is fitted for an added dynamic sensation.
Complete with BMW Professional Navigation system, air conditioning and park distance control, the M4 DTM isn’t wanting for accessories, with more additions to be announced for the UK specification.
