Since 1998, the Audi TT has been one of the best small sportscars on the market and with the latest edition, the combination of performance, style and reliability continue through into the new version.
One feature of the TT range is its ability to be as good as a roadster as it is a hardtop, and both of this new third generation of TTs are excellently made.
The TT Coupé is a stylish, practical, three-door model capable of great performance, but is also very simple to use.
Unlike other coupes, the TT offers 2+2 seating and has actually added space to the interior thanks to a longer wheelbase. This is despite the car staying the same length as the last model.
The TT Roadster takes away the back two seats to make space for the folding roof, but that only takes up a small amount of boot space, and thanks to its lightweight structure the soft-top folds away quickly so you can enjoy the outdoors.
Media wise, the TT range is well equipped, with both the Sport and S-Line trim models including the Virtual Cockpit cluster array behind the steering wheel, which shows either the virtual speedometer and rev counter as normal or an enlarged navigation screen with smaller speed and rev dials either side.
The innovative Audi Connect system is also as standard, which provides 4G Internet access so that drivers can access important navigational information and entertainment services with ease.
Available with both petrol and a diesel options, including our 2.0-litre TFSI quattro engine, which combines power and responsiveness with the superb quattro four-wheel drive system, with all the engines including Start/Stop technology with energy recuperation to keep emissions down.
With 180hp available from the base 1.8-litre TFSI, you won’t be short on power, especially when the top of the range 2.0-litre TFSI quattro offers 230hp. The 2.0-litre TDI ultra diesel, which offers 184hp, is also very economical, with figures of 60+mpg possible, thanks to the S Tronic automatic gearbox that also includes a freewheeling mode to help save more fuel.
Audi drive select with 5 selectable driving modes is also as standard so that you can get the right feel when you’re driving and can go from more economic driving, to a sportier sensation.
