has unveiled the latest generation of its fast luxury SUV – the Cayenne Turbo.
As the range-topping version of the mid-size SUV, the Turbo comes with a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 542bhp and 770Nm of torque. This will catapult the car from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, while the top speed stands at 178mph.
The V8 is paired with an active all-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Coming with active aerodynamics, adaptive air suspension and high-quality brakes, the Cayenne Turbo is set up for high-end performance, with rear-axle steering and electric roll stabilisation also available.
Inside, the Cayenne comes with Porsche’s Advanced Cockpit concept, which incorporates a display and touchscreen to control all of the vehicle’s settings and features – one of which is a Bose surround sound system. Also included are 18-way adjustable sports seats, which come with heating and cooling settings as standard.
The exterior design has been altered, despite it maintaining many cues from the previous model. The lines have been sharpened and the lights have been switched to LEDs, with the front set coming with a dual-line look, while the rear lights are designed as one single strip. You also get 21-inch alloy wheels, dual exhausts and aerodynamic splitters at the front and rear.
UK pricing for the range topping Cayenne is yet to be revealed, but European pricing starts from €138,350, which equates to circa £122,000. It will be on sale by the end of the year.
