We marked the completion of a five month redevelopment of our new Bentley showroom in Newcastle
at Silverlink Park Business Park by hosting a race driver experience evening when customers and local businesses had an opportunity to drive simulated laps of the Nurburgring in a virtual Bentley GT3-R. The best timed lap will be recognised with a VIP trip to Germany to drive a Bentley for real at the legendary circuit.
The redevelopment once again creates a dedicated showroom for Bentley at Silverlink Business Park, creating additional space to showcase the extended range of models including the Bentayga SUV. Seven cars are able to be displayed in the showroom, which includes a new handover area, and a further 20 pre-owned vehicles can be car displayed on the forecourt.
Along with enlarged facilities, customers will benefit from a desk free digital environment where they can enjoy a relaxed and informal atmosphere as well as a dedicated specification lounge area and an 80” TV on which to configure a bespoke new Bentley to their individual requirements. There is also a dedicated customer lounge and a designated handover bay.
“We’re really excited with our redeveloped new car showroom which features Bentley’s stylish new corporate identity and we thought we’d celebrate by giving our customers an adrenaline surge with a taste of life as a Bentley race driver in one of our two virtual reality racing simulators customised with GT3 race-seats and steering wheel,” explains Scott Stevenson, head of business for Bentley Newcastle. “They were able to experience the thrill of conquering the legendary Nürburgring ‘Green Hell’ and compete against the clock, each other and Guy Smith from Bentley’s motorsport team, to post the fastest time to win an exclusive Nürburgring experience day and become part of the legend for real.”
The Bentley event was held in partnership with Bang and Olufsen, All Out Adventures, Sonnet 43, Poetic License and The Lakes Distillery.
