The latest version of MINI's largest vehicle, the Countryman
, is available to order now.
Larger than ever before, the Countryman comes with increased dimensions, five full-sized seats and dramatically improved luggage space and versatility.
Borrowing the same premium cabin ambience as the current MINI range, the Countryman comes with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, cruise control and active guard, while a new Country Timer measures how much time you spend travelling over sloping, uneven and unsurfaced tracks.
The central instrument screen has a touchscreen function for the first time in a MINI, while ALL4, four-wheel drive is offered on every engine variant, as is a Steptronic 8-speed automatic gearbox in place of the standard 6-speed manual.
The vehicle comes in Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD versions, offering diesel or petrol options with between 136hp and 192hp. The Cooper S can manage a 0-60mph sprint in as little as 7.0 seconds, while the Cooper D can record fuel economy figures of up to 64.2 mpg combined.
Later in the year the first ever MINI with a plug-in hybrid drive will be available in the form of the Countryman Cooper S E. This pairs a turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor to return a 0-60mph time under 7 seconds but also improving fuel economy to 134.5mpg combined.
The Countryman is available with electronic tailgate control to allow for touch-free opening and closing of the tailgate, but also comes with clever options such as the MINI Picnic Bench - a foldout loading sill cushion on the luggage compartment lid for outdoor use.
The new MINI Countryman is available to order from £22,465 for the Countryman Cooper petrol model, and for more information on the MINI Countryman range, contact JCT600 MINI Bradford
