Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new E-Class All-Terrain, a 4x4-orientated estate that give the E-Class another dimension on top of the other four models already in the range.
Fitted with 4Matic all-wheel drive and tough plastic lower-end body panels, it is built to go off-road as it has also been risen by 35mm for that extra bit of ground clearance.
Mercedes fits the DYNAMIC SELECT drive system as standard, which gives you adaptable driving and for the All-Terrain model, the All-Terrain mode is added to the options that gives more comfort on rougher roads.
It maintains the interior quality of the excellent E-Class estate, and includes all the equipment of the Avantgarde interior trim line to retain the practicality and comfort of the standard estate.
The first model comes with a 2-litre diesel engine, which is both economical and efficient, consuming as little 55.4mpg and has a CO2 rating as low as 137g/km CO2. It accelerates from 0-60mph in 8 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 144mph.
Another thing that carries through from the estate is the peerless amount of storage space on offer, with the large boot area and rear seat section offering plenty of room for both passengers and luggage.
The E-Class All-Terrain was shown for the first time at this month’s Paris Motor Show, and will be in showrooms from Spring 2017. More details on pricing and accessories will be released closer to the release date.
