Mercedes-AMG has announced pricing and specifications for its revamped C 63 range that is available in one of four body types and starts from £66,429.
Coming in saloon, estate, cabriolet and coupe guises, the C 63 line-up all use the same engine – a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol – paired to a nine-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, replacing a seven-speed ‘box.
All models come with an S option, which increases the output of the engine from 469bhp up to 503bhp.
Depending on which model you choose, each car can sprint from a standstill to 60mph in around four seconds, and reach a limited top speed of 155mph – 180mph for S saloon and coupe versions or 174mph for estate and cabriolet units.
Mercedes-AMG now fits the AMG Ride Control suspension to the C 63 range as standard, which features adaptive damping and an electronically controlled limited slip differential mounted on the rear axle. S models also come with active engine mounts that reduce the vibration transmitted from the engine and transmission.
Equipment wise the C 63 comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a performance exhaust, multi-beam LED headlights, and a 12.3-inch cockpit display that works alongside a 10.25-inch infotainment display, keyless start and wireless phone charging.
In the more premium S, units come with AMG nine-stage traction control, AMG performance seats, 19-inch alloy wheels and the AMG Track Pace timing feature.
Mercedes also offers two equipment packs – the £2,595 Premium Plus and Driving Assistance pack worth £1,695 – which can further the appeal of the models.
Mercedes-AMG is offering the models to customers now, with deliveries beginning in October. For more information on the new C 63 range, contact your nearest JCT600 Mercedes Centre.
