June Team Success Stories

Welcome to June’s Team Success Stories round-up!

Read on for the best news about colleagues from across the group.

There was a fond farewell at Volkswagen Bradford, as the team said goodbye to Michael ‘Boss’ Green after an incredible 26 years of dedicated service. A popular member of the team, Boss has always been a hit with customers since he joined the dealership all the way back in 1993.

Everyone at JCT600 wishes Michael well in his retirement!

‘Sticking’ with Sticker Lane, this month’s Above & Beyond award at Vauxhall Bradford has been made, and Gordon Feather is the well-deserved recipient! Head of Business, Neil Pearson, highlighted the fantastic support Gordon – the dealership’s Master Technician – has provided after a team reshuffle.

At The Premium Collection, Shanika Reid has been promoted to Assistant Service Manager. She moves to the role from being Front of House Manager for the dealership, and after a few years of growing and developing with JCT600, Shanika is well-deserving of the move.

Over at Volkswagen Sheffield, they received the excellent news that they are one of just a handful of dealerships in the UK to be EVA-accredited – a brand new stamp of approval for sites with first-class facilities for servicing electric vehicles.

Central to that accreditation is the qualifications gained by three members of the service team. Andrew Keatley and Craig Norton have become qualified High Voltage Experts, while Nick Wragg has become a High Voltage Technician.

To have three qualified High Voltage technicians is a great accolade for Volkswagen Sheffield, and is a testament to the team’s drive to be a leader in the rapidly-emerging EV market.

Around the corner at Volkswagen Van Centre Sheffield, the team recently celebrated two long service awards. Master Technician, Craig Mellors, reached his 25-year milestone, while his colleague in the service department, Kevin Haywood, reached an astonishing 50 years.

The loyalty and commitment that both milestones represent is a fantastic achievement, and the company thanks them for their dedicated service!

Volkswagen Hull are celebrating a raft of newly qualified technicians, giving some weight to the site’s ambition to be one of the best around.

Danny Heard is now an Accredited Service Advisor, Richard Newns and Dave Webb have both become a Qualified Service Technician, while Rob Galley is a Qualified Service and High Voltage Technician.

An impressive array of achievements for the team at Volkswagen Hull.

At Volkswagen Rotherham, both Rory Taylor and Ian Ward have passed their Service Technician Assessment at the first attempt – a great achievement, and yet more assets for the Volkswagen Rotherham team.

In news at the PDI Centre in Chesterfield, Dean Calladine has furthered his credentials as a valuable member of the team, after being named one of Chesterfield College’s Apprentices of the Year.

Dean’s great attitude and enthusiasm to learn were cited as reasons for the award.

So often we have great stories about colleagues out in dealerships, but this month, we’re delighted to highlight an amazing achievement for a member of the Marketing team at Head Office.

Marketing Assistant, Mollie Murgatroyd, received impressive results in her Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma, having started studying all the way in 2016.

Congratulations to Mollie – we hope you enjoy having a bit more spare time than before!
