Bentley Motors has announced the full details of the world’s fastest production SUV - the Bentayga Speed.
Beating the existing top speed record for an SUV by 0.5mph, the Speed will make its awaited Global debut at the renowned Geneva motor show next month.
The enhanced 635 PS (626 bhp) version of the acclaimed 6.0 litre W12 engine reaches 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 190mph, surpassing the power of the standard Bentayga by 26bhp, the top speed by 3mph and the 0-62mph by 0.2 seconds. Improvements to the Sport mode allow for a more powerful drive, whilst the firmer suspension and louder exhaust boost driving engagement.
From idea to production, the Bentayga Speed was born in Great Britain and is the most performance-orientated and powerful Bentayga yet. The legacy of the Speed models began in 2007 with the Continental GT, with a focus on surpassing the boundaries of Bentayga performance.
The striking exterior features signature Speed badging, a dark-tint radiator, headlights and bumper grilles, an eye catching tailgate spoiler, body coloured side skirts and an exclusive 22-inch wheel design available in three finishes – black, dark tint or silver, available for customers who opt for the Black specification.
The colour split interior features swooshes on the backrest bolsters, edge of the seat cushions and around the door and door grab, discreet Speed badging, contrast stitching on the diamond quilting, Speed illuminated treadplate signature and the use of Alcantara materials – a first ever in the Bentayga.
As in all Bentaygas it features Electronic Differential Lock and up to eight Drive Dynamic modes.
Additional features available on the Speed include carbon ceramic breaks, carbon fibre fascia panels, 22-way adjustable front seats with massage function, mood lighting and Bentley Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE).
The Bentayga Speed is expected to go on sale later this year with prices expected to start from £185,000.
