The all-new Peugeot 208 will be revealed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, available in petrol, diesel or electric powertrains.
The e-208 is the first zero-emission car from Peugeot, by 2023 Peugeot plan to electrify the full range.
The new 208 weighs in at 30kg less than the previous model and featuring reduced roll resistance, improved power trains and enhanced aerodynamics.
The petrol 3-cylinder, 1.2L engine comes in either PureTech 75 S&S 5-speed manual, PureTech 100 S&S 6-speed manual or 8 speed automatic or PureTech 130 S&S 8 speed automatic. Whilst the diesel 4-cylinder comes in a 1.5L engine BlueHDi 100 S&S 6-speed manual. All of which have been developed to reduce CO2 emissions, meeting the latest EU emissions standards.
The 208 features plenty of interior storage alongside Driver Assist which includes; Full Park Assist, Lan Positioning Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic Emergency Brake Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Driver Attention Monitoring, Active Blind Spot Monitoring, Speed Limit Recognition and Recommendation, Peugeot Smartbeam automatic headlight dipping and electric parking brake.
Peugeot 3D i-Cockpit also provides a 7-10” HD colour touchscreen on a configurable head-up display. Whilst the 7 satin chrome ‘piano’ toggle switches and multifunction steering wheel offers an agile drive. There is also the option to personalise the cabin in a choice of 8 RGB LED colours.
The impressive 3D digital instrument panel has the option to be projected via the colour touchscreen, like a hologram.
Other features also include connected 3D Navigation, TomTom Traffic and Peugeot Mirror Screen functionality, compatible with Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink, and Android Auto connectivity.
The exterior has a sporty, stylish theme and features a large chrome grille, long bonnet, sculpted curves, with the Peugeot Lion featured on the front bumper and full LED 3-claw headlight signature on the front and rear bumper.
The GT Line and GT models will also feature gloss black window surrounds and wheel arch extensions.
An online reservation site is opening at the end of March and will be open for orders late summer
