German manufacturer Audi
has unveiled its latest RS model – the RS4 Avant.
Based on the A4 Avant estate model, Audi has fitted a 2.9-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 443bhp and 600Nm of torque.
With that power and torque at its disposal, the RS4 Avant can get from 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 155mph. If customers select the RS dynamic package, that top speed is increased to 174mph. The engine is paired to an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox.
Audi’s world-renowned quattro all-wheel-drive system comes as standard to offer excellent grip in all conditions, and with the help of a sport differential on the rear axle the torque can be distributed intelligently for excellent handling.
Also fitted is the RS sport suspension and exhaust system, while the sport suspension plus with dynamic ride control feature, ceramic brakes and RS dynamic steering are optional extras.
The exterior design has been altered to look more dynamic, including a black gloss honeycomb grille, large air inlets, wider wheel arches and an altered rear bumper, as well as a rear spoiler and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the RS4 Avant comes with leather RS sports seats, a flat-bottomed multifunctional steering wheel trimmed in leather, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit display in the instrument binnacle and the black gloss styling package.
The RS4 Avant is available to order from the end of September and has a starting price of £61,625. For more information on the model or any other RS models, contact your nearest JCT600 Audi Centre.
