Since the 1960 DB4 Zagato, Aston Martin and Italian design-house Zagato have been creating some of the most beautiful models, and the pairing’s latest release is another jaw-dropping creation.
Only four of the Vanquish Zagato concept models have been produced, and have been based on the Vantage sports car, combining the bold and instantly recognisable shape of the Aston Martin and the striking and dynamic features that Zagato have introduced into this limited edition model.
With modern tweaks to both the exterior and interior design, the Vanquish Zagato takes a forward-looking stance on the Aston Martin car design, with a new one-piece panel bodywork structure and Zagato-designed rounded tail light reflectors inspired by past Zagato models.
Unlike the Vanquish
, the angular back end gives the concept a different feel, similar to the new DB11
road car, and has taken design pointers from the CC-100, One-77 and Vulcan track car to make the Vanquish Zagato truly unique.
To make this car even more unique, the V12 under the bonnet has been modified and fettled to produce over 600hp. This model also has enhanced driving dynamics with retractable rear wing and the quad-exhaust system encased in an angular rear diffuser. Inside, the Zagato ‘Z’ is embossed on the headrests and stitched into the central console, with the quilted leather seats part of the high quality interior finish
First shown at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este at Lake Como in Italy, the Vanquish Zagato is the fifth model from the Aston Martin-Zagato partnership, which has produced some amazing looking vehicles, such as the DB4GT Zagato, the DB7 Zagato and V12 Zagato.
