Mercedes-Benz are making a move on the small-size leisure activity vehicle, with a brand new luxury van for private customers.
Details on the T-Class are relatively scarce at the moment, but Mercedes-Benz have indicated the small MPV will launch in the first half of 2022.
Perfect for families and drivers who enjoy active pastimes and outdoor pursuits, it’s likely that the T-Class will be available in at least two different body-lengths.
The T-Class will be compact in size, sharing a platform with the commercially-oriented Citan compact van.
Mercedes-Benz do not create a new model designation lightly, itself an indication of the value Merc think a new T-Class will bring. In fact, the last time Merc did introduce a new class letter, it was back in 2017, with the X-Class pick-up.
A substantial amount of room will be on offer inside the new T-Class, with versatility and function key priorities.
Sliding doors on both driver and passenger sides will make access super easy too, and you can expect the interior to be pure Mercedes-Benz: classy, elegant, and comfortable.
In addition to conventional, engine-powered drivetrains, Mercedes have also indicated that a purely electric version of the T-Class will also be available, though it’s not yet clear if it will be available at launch.
