The new Vauxhall Insignia version is based on a new structural architecture that helps to give more interior space and a more dynamic appearance.
Based on the design of the Monza Concept, the Grand Sport brings a sleeker image to both the interior and exterior design of the latest generation of the saloon.
The Grand Sport has also been lightened by 175kg, and thanks to the aerodynamic bodywork, the new model has a class-leading 0.26 Cd coefficient that means better efficiency and a smoother driving experience.
Also fitted to create as good a driving experience as possible is a new all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring for improved handling, an eight-speed automatic transmission and driving assistance systems, such as lane keep assist and active aluminium bonnet for improved pedestrian protection.
To make sure the driver has a reliable and exciting drive, the Grand Sport will come with a wide variety of turbocharged engines that will be paired with the newly engineered gearboxes and the all-wheel drive to offer three driving modes, Standard, Sport or Tour, to ensure that the driver gets the desired feel on the road.
Also, coming with the new model is an improved edition of the OnStar and Intellilink infotainment systems, which with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can pair seamlessly to smartphones. A Wi-Fi hotspot has also been fitted to the vehicle which can be paired with up to seven devices.
