Introducing the Tordoff Collection – it’s in our blood

The Tordoff Collection is a selection of classic, modern classic and supercars.

With JCT600’s 70 year heritage and experience with specialist cars, the Tordoff Collection brings exclusive brands such as Ferrari, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Porsche (Classic), Bentley and Maserati to stock at the showroom located in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The cars are all carefully handpicked by a dedicated specialist buying team, with first-class knowledge in the specialist car market, selecting only the best-of-the-best for their customers.

The Tordoff Collection cars

When choosing a car for the Tordoff Collection, the specialist team are also looking for cars with a history and a story to tell.

Take the Launch Edition Aston Martin DB11 – one of the first cars in our showroom here at The Tordoff Collection – with only 342 miles on the clock and a previous royal owner; it was one of the most collectible DB11s on the specialist car market.

And it is this history that adds something a bit different to the car collection.

You can read all about some of the cars we have had in stock here at The Tordoff Collection, as well as current stock stories, here.

The Tordoff family – it’s in their blood

As well as running the JCT600 business, cars have always been the Tordoff family passion – whether that is the cars they drive day-to-day, the cars they collect or the cars they choose to race; it’s in their blood.

Sam Tordoff, the grandson of rally driver Jack Tordoff MBE, has been competitively racing since the age of 8. Now 28 years old, Sam has a successful history of racing behind him, most recently finishing runner-up in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 2016 and then competing in the British GT Championship last year. For 2018 Sam is back at BTCC, hoping to continue where he left off. You can stay up to date on all his latest racing action over on his Twitter page – @samtordoff

Chairman, Jack Tordoff MBE began successfully race rally driving at the age of 28. His peak came in 1973, whilst driving his all-time favourite car – a 2.7 Porsche 911 Carrera Lightweight – where he beat the Irish home favourites at the Circuit of Ireland Rally. This race result meant Jack became FIA graded driver status and the only thing that stood between him becoming British Champion was rally driver Roger Clarke. And it is this history; this ‘story’ that we look to find in the cars we buy for the Tordoff Collection too.
