The Tordoff Collection – Aston Martin GT8 includes Track Day with Sam Tordoff

Everyone knows that the Tordoff family has a passion for racing – it’s in their blood – so when an Aston Martin GT8 joined the Collection, it seemed an obvious synergy to offer the new owner an exclusive Track Day with British Racing Driver, Sam Tordoff. This once in a lifetime opportunity was the ultimate driving experience, demonstrating how closely the GT8 is related to its racing cousins.

Wide-bodied, with a cutaway front wheel arch, the GT8 fulfills Aston Martin’s desire to reflect their racing activity at Le Mans. Performance is key and was achieved through many lightweight components, saving up to 100kg and making it the lightest and most powerful V8 Vantage ever. But it was also genuinely road-usable and according to Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer, it’s an ‘authentic and unashamedly extreme road car … equally at home on a fabulous road or a demanding race track.’

Presented in striking Stirling Green with a Lime ‘Halo’ paint scheme, this special addition to the Tordoff Collection really stood out from the crowd. The sole previous owner of the GT8 was lucky enough to have purchased number 148 of 150 cars ever produced, only 40 of which remain in the UK. Additional options included gloss black carbon fibre front bumper, rear bumper, diffuser and side sills as well as gloss black side window surrounds. This rare find also benefited from deck lid model name badges, black daylight opening (DLO) surround, black headlamp bezels, clear rear lamp, dipped beam xenon headlights, electric folding mirrors, electric front windows, and additional protective tape.

Agile, aggressive and beautifully engineered, the GT8 appealed to collectors and driving enthusiasts alike. It offered potential to enjoy performance that is second to none.
