Life has changed for so many of us, and the car-buying process is just one of the many things that has changed.
If you’re ready to start looking for your next car or van, we want to assure you that we’re ready too. We’ve taken much of the car-buying experience online, so when it comes to looking for and buying a car, you don’t even need to visit a dealership if you’d prefer not to.
We understand that customers may still want to speak with a member of the team face-to-face, though, so we’ve made some significant changes to our dealerships too.
For starters, members of all of our teams are available on an appointment-only basis, so that we’re able to ensure social distancing can be properly observed at all times. We’re also extending our opening hours, to make sure we can maximise appointment availability. To see a full list of our full and extended opening hours, scroll to very bottom of this page!
There’s brand new signage in every dealership, showing you where to walk, as well as helping you to stick to social distancing. Desk screens and hand sanitiser stations, too, will help us keep both colleagues and customers safe.
Unfortunately, we’re also closing our refreshment centres and customer lounges for the time being, and customers will no longer be able to wait on our premises. Of course, we hope to be able to re-open these services eventually but we trust you understand that this is purely with everybody’s safety in mind.
Read on for how else we’re ensuring you can browse, try, and buy safely at JCT600.
Buying a car starts with looking for a car, and we know that may be easier said than done at the moment. At JCT600, you can still browse every vehicle in stock on our website, and every vehicle listed has detailed imagery and specs, so you can start to get a feel for what you want most from your next purchase.
Just like before, you can chat online to one of our friendly advisors to ask questions about any of our vehicles, and that’s still available until 10pm.
If you’d like to see more of a particular vehicle, you can request a personalised vehicle video, and you can even say what you’d like to see specifically. Wondering how big the boot is? Need a closer look at the infotainment system? Are those alloy wheels 9-spoke or 11-spoke? Just ask – we’ll show you!
So what happens when you’ve seen a car online, and you want to see it in the metal? Once our dealerships are fully open again, you’ll be able make an appointment with a member of the team, and they’ll be more than happy to arrange a private viewing of that particular vehicle. You can arrange an independent test drive too (that means you can go without us!), if you’d like to get a feel for the vehicle out on the road.
Naturally, every member of our dealership teams will be adhering strictly to social distancing guidelines, so there’ll be no more handshakes when you arrive! What you can expect, however, is the usual, warm JCT600 welcome.
If you’d prefer not to visit the dealership, that’s absolutely fine. You can request a personalised, virtual test drive of any vehicle in stock, or speak with a member of our team one-on-one via the magic of video calling.
If you’ve set your heart on a particular vehicle and you’re ready to make a purchase, we’ve tried to make it as easy and as safe as possible for you.
You can still reserve a vehicle online with a small refundable deposit, and you can even value your part exchange online. What’s more, those part exchange valuations are guaranteed, so we’ll stand by whatever value we’ve quoted online, based on the information you’ve provided.
We now also provide finance quotes online, helping you to get an idea of the options, and how much a vehicle will cost you on a monthly basis, all without ever physically stepping foot in a dealership.
Once you’ve paid for the vehicle, or arranged finance, we can even deliver the vehicle directly to your home, again observing all the necessary social distancing guidelines as we hand it over. Best of all, our new Home Delivery service is totally free of charge for the first 25 miles! Sit back, relax, and we’ll bring your new car or van to you!
Prefer to collect it yourself? You can do that too! Our new Order & Collect service means you can buy your vehicle, then collect it from the dealership when it’s convenient for you.
If you want to speak to a member of the team, you can either arrange a personal video call, or you can make an appointment to pop into the dealership. Our teams are available on an appointment-only basis for the time being, so that we can manage the safety of our colleagues and customers effectively at all times.
You can trust us to ensure that the buying process is as safe as possible for you, and for our colleagues.
