Thursday 8th March – Sunday 18th March 2018
The Geneva Motor show is one of the biggest in the automotive event calendar and is highly anticipated by both industry experts and the general public. Brands not only showcase updates to existing models but they also unveil new models that are set to hit the UK market.
This year there’s a predominant focus on SUV models and electric cars, some manufacturers are even combining the two into one model – such as the Bentley Bentayga hybrid. Other models in attendance include the all-new SEAT Ateca and Audi A6, as well as the revamped Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
Thursday 17th May – Sunday 20th May 2018
Hosted at the ExCeL in London, the London Motor Show is the largest automotive show in the UK and will showcase some of the latest technologies and innovations by some of the world’s leading brands. Industry experts will also be on hand to answer any questions and demonstrate technologies where possible.
This event is ideal for those considering joining the industry and can provide a great insight into the technologies, products and the people.
Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th June 2018
Taking place at the famous Circuit de la Sarthe in France, Le Mans 2018 will be the 86th running of the race which was first held in June 1923. The event sees more than 260,000 spectators in attendance, so there certainly isn’t a shortage of atmosphere!
Skill, endurance, tactics and speed are all elements you can witness when attending this fun and exciting event. It is also very addictive, seeing many people returning year after year!
Thursday 5th – Sunday 8th July 2018
This year the Formula 1 British Grand Prix is returning to Silverstone, Towcester, where you can watch the race in person and feel like part of the action. The event is held over a three-day weekend and is a true celebration of the sport. Both the best cars and the best drivers will be competing in this incredible motorsport event, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
If you want to get up close and personal you can book a pit walk to really explore the cars or opt for a grandstand view where you can watch drivers undertake the bends.
Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th July 2018
The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place in the South of England at the Goodwood Estate in Chichester, where people come together to celebrate the history of Motorsport.
At Goodwood, you can expect to see an array of color and sounds as well as classic cars through to the most recent F1 cars.
2018 will mark the event’s 25th anniversary – “Festival of Speed – The Silver Jubilee” and the theme of the event will be echoed throughout, further enhancing the Goodwood experience.
North: Friday 27th – Sunday 29th July 2018
South: Friday 24th – Sunday 26th August 2018
Carfest takes place on two different dates and locations – the North event will be at the Bolesworth Estate, Cheshire and the South event at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire.
Carfest is perfect for car enthusiasts and is a great family day out, offering something for everybody from car exhibits and races, live music and fairground rides, plus there will be an array of different food and drink stands to choose from. It is certainly not one to be missed and all proceeds from the event will go to Children In Need too.
Frankfurt Motor Show
Thursday 20th – Thursday 27th September 2018
The Frankfurt Motor Show will be taking place this autumn and is a highly anticipated within the automotive event calendar. The event occurs every two years and alternates with the Paris Motor show.
Manufacturers attend the event to revel brand new models, as well as updates to their current model range.
Friday 9th – Sunday 11th November 2018
The Classic Motor Show takes place every year at the NEC in Birmingham and is one of the largest classic car shows of the year. There will be over 2,000 classic cars on display, along with hundreds of trade stands to explore.
This event is a great networking opportunity for car enthusiasts and keen motorists and is attended by some of the UK’s largest car clubs. For those looking to buy, there will also be a two-day auction.
