JCT600 will be supporting The Prince’s Trust by becoming a patron for the youth charity over a four year period.

The Prince's Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed in life. They help 13 to 30 year olds who are unemployed and are struggling with their everyday lives because of homelessness, mental health issues or because they have been in trouble with the law. The Trust provides vulnerable young people with programmes that, not only provide the practical support they need but also the financial support needed to help stabilise their situation. And it works, 3 in 4 young people that have been supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training.

Over a four year period, starting in 2016, JCT600 colleagues company-wide will be supporting and fundraising for The Prince’s Trust with a range of organised events and personal challenges.

In addition to this, the company will be working closely with the youth charity, providing opportunities for colleagues to work with young people through the Trust, providing coaching and mentoring support.

JCT600 regularly supports fund-raising initiatives of individual employees who have successfully organised a variety of events, each year we encourage colleagues to join in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and help build team spirit as well as hosting our annual 'Pub Quiz'.  We have also seen colleagues take part in bake sales, treks, skydives and a range of other challenges.

Previous Years

We began our fundraising initiative in 2009, setting an initial target of £10,000. Three years later it was clear to see that we could do much more, so we introduced our charity committee and now aim to raise as much as we can, encouraging all of our colleagues to get involved.
