Vauxhall unveils new Crossland X SUV

Vauxhall is expanding its range even further with the new Vauxhall Crossland X, the second offering from the Vauxhall 'X' SUV range.

This is the first of two SUV launches for the marque in 2017, with the Crossland X being joined by the larger Grandland X later this year.

Shorter than the Astra hatchback, the Crossland X has a ‘Tardis-like’ cabin that is adaptable and surprisingly capacious, meaning excellent leg room and storage space.

With the two-tone body colouring and floating roof, the stylish Crossland X is entered into the competitive small SUV market and is accented with LED daytime running lights and metal detailing.

The Crossland X is built for the future, and is fitted with some of the latest in Vauxhall’s technology, including Vauxhall OnStar and Intellilink infotainment systems, which can be combined with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and used on the eight-inch colour touchscreen. The car is also available with a Wi-Fi hotspot, that can connect to up to seven devices, and wireless inductive charging for mobile devices.

To ensure you stay safe on the road, Vauxhall fits a head-up display, advanced park assist, forward collision assist with pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning, as well as road sign recognition, side blind-spot alert and cruise control.

There's no shortage of powertrain options, as the Crossland X is available with either diesel or petrol engines, and you can choose to have manual or automatic transmissions. More details will be provided closer to the vehicle's release into showrooms this summer.
