The Peugeot 108 is a stylish city car that offers both style and substance. It is available in three and five-door models, as well as a Hatchback or the TOP! cabrio model. At just 3475mm long, the 108 is ideally suited to urban motoring; its manoeuvrability, combined with a dynamic and comfortable drive and a generous assortment of driver-convenience technology, help to ensure that the noise and haste of the town need not affect your commute or leisure trip.
There are over 5,000 ways to customise the look of the 108. Seven style themes are available, including the dogtooth Dressy design, a modified tartan theme in Kilt, the technological look of Barcode, and the embroidered pattern of Dual. The themes add customisation to the exterior, the dashboard, the door mirror covers, the carpet mats and the vehicle's key fob. And no matter the theme, the sophistication of the vehicle's bodywork shines through the use of the black and chrome headlights, as well as the LED highlights. The rear lights have reverse and fog light functions, and have been given the unique 'claw' look.
The Peugeot 108 is compact and comfortable, and also provides impressive boot space. The initial 243-litre capacity has the potential to expand to 868 litres when the rear seats are folded forward, and the low loading height ensures that any cargo is easy to load and unload. Technological features are controlled through the 7" touchscreen, which gives both continuous connectivity and access to useful and important drive information. On the Allure and Feline specifications, moreover, it is connected to the reversing camera, making parking a much simpler affair.
Buyers can choose between a 1.0 litre, 68hp petrol engine or a 1.2 litre 82hp PureTech unit. Stop/Start technology, when fitted to the smaller engine, enables the 108 to achieve combined fuel consumption of 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of just 88g/km. The larger motor, for its part, can propel the car from a standstill to 62mph in 11 seconds. Gearboxes are available in manual five-speed or five-speed 2Tronic electronically automated manual versions.
The 108 comes with six airbags installed as standard, and two three-point ISOFIX rear seat mounts, to allow for the easy installation of child safety seating. Peugeot's Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) combines a number of safe driving systems, ensuring that the car is controlled and controllable in adverse driving conditions.
