The iconic MINI Cooper has been given a modern redesign, placing it firmly in a contemporary timeframe. The new look of this three or five-door compact vehicle is instantly apparent, yet the design still draws on the DNA heritage of classic MINI vehicles. The new range of MINI Hatch vehicles are all true successors to MINI's past, bringing each model into the future. Motorists can choose from the new MINI One, the new MINI Cooper, and the new MINI Cooper S.
The exterior of the MINI Hatch takes advantage of MINI's expansive customisation options, with a wide range of colours and designs available for the body and vehicle highlights. Twelve alloy wheels, with a span of between 15" and 18", are available as a factory-fitted option.
The interior provides a number of opportunities for customisation and redesign, with the sports seats, interior surfaces, colour line and interior colour all allowing you to choose an individual colour scheme.
The driving dynamics of the MINI Cooper have been improved, due to the vehicle's lower centre of gravity, wider track width and stiffer suspension. Technological options on the range are impressive, including MINI Connected as standard and further options for MINI drive information apps, and an 8.8" screen as part of the Media XL package. With a wide range of features to suit all preferences and new MINI Cooper deals, buying your perfect car has never been so easy.
The engine range of three petrol and three diesel units available with the MINI Hatch provide a perfect balance of power and economy, utilising technologies such as TwinPower Turbo and Valvetronic valve timing to excellent effect. Engine outputs range from the One model's 102hp to the Cooper S's 192hp; with the latter, the Hatch can record 0-62mph acceleration times of as little as 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 146mph. The combined fuel consumption of the One D engine, on the other hand, is an extraordinary 83.1mpg - and CO2 emissions are down to 89g/km.
Safety systems include airbags, a rigid passenger cell, and a number of driver assistance systems such as DSC and ABS to provide the highest level of drive stability. There is also a pedestrian protection system, which provides a crumple zone in case of an impact, and City Collision Mitigation prevents accidents by maintaining a safe distance from other road vehicles. ISOFIX fittings allow for easy child seat installation, and the optional MINI Emergency Call feature can automatically contact the emergency services in the event of an accident.
