The Mazda 3 is the culmination of the Mazda brand philosophy, which produces cars that are lightweight and fun as well as stronger and safer with each generation. It takes advantage of the brand's driving DNA, and is inspired by Mazda’s award-winning KODO: Soul of Motion design language. Featuring all of the latest driving technology, as well as an extensive range of active and passive safety systems designed to make each journey as safe as it is exhilarating.
The design language utilised by Mazda ensures that the streamlined nature of the body and the sculpting of the vehicle edges express the power and fluidity of the Mazda 3. The chrome-lined grille at the front of the vehicle perfectly complements the Mazda signature headlights, and the lines of the vehicle guide the eye to the roof spoiler drawing the rear of the vehicle together. The alloy wheels are 16-inch models, and help enhance the all-new Mazda 3's sense of power and stability.
Technological features are installed throughout the cabin, controlled through the 7" touchscreen mounted at the centre of the dashboard. The Multimedia Commander gives motorists a high level of connectivity, allowing for access to internet applications, audio entertainment options, and satellite navigation systems. The Active Driving Display provides vital drive information, easily expressed to the driver. The radio/CD player has six speakers positioned throughout the cabin, and can be controlled by buttons mounted on the steering wheel.
There are four petrol engines and two diesel engines to choose from, available with either six-speed automatic or manual gearboxes. The all-new Mazda3 range can reach 60mph from a standing start in under ten seconds, and has a top speed of 130mph. The combined fuel consumption is 68.9mpg, and through the use of Mazda's SKYACTIV Technology the CO2 emissions are as low as 107g/km.
The Mazda3 has an exemplary amount of safety features, and has been awarded the five-star Euro NCAP safety rating for its included systems. Standard airbags protect the driver and front passenger, while the curtain side airbags protect the rear passengers. Safe driving systems include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Hold Assist (HHA), and Smart City Brake Support (SCBS). ISOFIX fittings are also included, allowing the easy installation of child safety seating.
