The Maserati brand speaks of a proud history of passion, style, and performance. The Maserati Ghibli is the perfect showcase of everything that Maserati has to offer, from the company's technological innovations to the journey that has been perfected by the Maserati Corse racing team. As a high-performance prestige saloon, the Ghibli has been designed to give an extraordinary drive experience during everyday use. Exemplary levels of comfort combine with sports handling to give inspiration to daily motoring.
The design philosophy of the Ghibli revolves around its striking silhouette. The vehicle has been given graceful lines and perfect proportions which make an immediate visual impression, speaking volumes as to its sophistication, style and power. The front of the vehicle has the distinctive Maserati grille as its centrepiece, with concave vertical fillets that enhance the flowing lines of the vehicle's shape. The LED daytime running lights also give a feeling of power to the car, and the triangular C-pillar sports the iconic Saetta logo in the spotlight. The taillights are also LEDs, and the rear of the vehicle maintains the sporty look of the car through the twin exhaust tailpipes.
The interior of the Ghibli radiates luxury, from the soft leather upholstery with exquisite stitching to the advanced technological features included in the cabin. Infotainment features are controlled through the Maserati Touch Control 8.4" display, which has been designed to provide user-friendly control. The central tunnel holds driver-orientated buttons for the control of other functions, and important drive information is expressed through the striking instrument panel on the dashboard. A 7" TFT display shows dynamic drive data, and the large speedometer and rev counter are highlighted by the elegance of white backlighting. The driver can also control multimedia functions through controls placed on the leather-clad ergonomic steering wheel.
The rear bench of the Ghibli can accommodate three passengers, and features two cup holders and a storage compartment, which contains a USB charger and a 12V socket. The bench seat can be folded down to improve the boot capacity, and optional rear seat heating is available.
The Ghibli has engine options between twin-turbo charged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine variations, offering 325bhp or 404bhp and peak torque of 500Nm at 4500rpm. Motorists can also choose the first diesel engine from Maserati - a 3.0-litre turbo charged V6 engine, which gives 271bhp. The "S" version of the Ghibli can reach 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 176mph.
The Maserati Ghibli has been awarded the coveted five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, ensuring peace of mind during all journeys undertaken within the vehicle. Maserati's latest-generation airbag system has been installed, as has been a front-end crumple.
