JCT600 Vauxhall Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary

JCT600 is celebrating 50 years of service to the British motoring giant, Vauxhall, having opened its dealership dedicated to the marque in Bradford in 1960.

At the time only JCT600’s third dealership, the business has since sold more than 50,000 Vauxhalls to customers across Yorkshire and beyond. In 1997 and 2007, it expanded its offering with further dealerships in Castleford and Shipley and Vauxhall remains one of the company’s most popular brands.

Les Cooper, brand director at JCT600 said: “Vauxhall is one of the great names in British motoring history and continues to go from strength to strength, offering some of the best known models on the European market today. It’s also leading the way with initiatives such as its groundbreaking lifetime warranty, which provides customers of brand new vehicles guaranteed coverage on all major components for the life of the car, or until it reaches 100,000 miles.

JCT600 has built a strong partnership with Vauxhall over the last fifty years and was recently selected as one of the brand’s top MasterFit retailers in the country. The MasterFit of the Year award is only given to the top 40 Vauxhall retailers nationwide and in order to qualify, the performance of each retailer is closely monitored over a twelve month period. The rigorous standards cover three critical areas of the business – customer satisfaction, customer retention and business growth.

Vauxhall’s roots date back more than 100 years; although formed in 1857, the first car to bear the Vauxhall name was manufactured in 1903. In that time it has produced some of the UK’s best-loved models including the Vauxhall Victor, Cavalier, Astra, Vectra and Corsa, and continues to develop market leading vehicles such as the Insignia, which was crowned European Car of the Year in 2009.
