Yorkshire-based family business JCT600 has supported local youth swimmer and national champion Danielle Hall-Jackson as she prepares to train for Olympic selection at Rio 2016.
Danielle Hall-Jackson from Wakefield is currently the UK’s leading youth distance swimmer and National Champion of the 800m and 1500m at under 18 level. Turning 17 last December, she has already represented GB as a junior swimmer and has just competed in the Senior European Open Water Championships.
Danielle has been identified by British Swimming as an Elite Athlete and selected to join the World Class Development programme with Olympic selection for Rio 2016 as her target.
At this pivotal point, Danielle has the demands of both full time education and 10 swimming sessions per week, often starting at 5am. To support Danielle, JCT600 Volkswagen Wakefield agreed to provide a discounted VW Polo Match and free service plan for the turn of her 17th birthday, with the aim of making it easier for her to travel to training sessions.
John Tordoff chief executive at JCT600, commented: “Danielle is ambitious, committed and extremely talented and we hope this support will help her achieve her goals. We are proud to be able to support Danielle in her aim to reach the Olympics and look very much look forward to seeing her progress over the next few years.”
