JCT600 Sponsors Bradford Cricket League for 5th Season

  • Yorkshire car retailer JCT600 has announced that it will be the main sponsor of the Bradford Cricket League for the fifth consecutive year.

As well as giving its name to the league, JCT600 also has banners at all grounds and its branding on the league’s website, trophies and umpires’ jackets.

The popular league is acknowledged as one of the strongest in the country, boasting 151 international cricketers amongst its past players including cricketing legends such as Sir Leonard Hutton and Ray Illingworth. Brian Close and Sir Jack Hobbs are also former league players along with current stars including Yorkshire captain Andrew Gale and England cricketers Matthew Hoggard MBE and Ajmal Shahzad.

Alan Birkinshaw of the JCT600 Bradford Cricket League, said: “It’s great news that JCT600 is continuing its sponsorship. The company has been tremendously supportive to us over the years and there’s no doubt that being associated with such a well-established and renowned Yorkshire business has been a major benefit to the league.”

The league has once again enjoyed an exciting season culminating in the League Championship which was one of the closest fought contests with Pudsey Congs ultimately emerging victorious for the sixth time in 11 years.

“Like JCT600, the Bradford Cricket League has a long and illustrious history,” commented John Tordoff, chief executive of JCT600. “It plays an important part in the local community and we are proud to give it our name once again.”
