Hull Under Seven Stars Attract Sponsorship Deal

Hull Under Seven Stars Attract Sponsorship Deal

  • As part of its continued support for sport in the region, Yorkshire car retailer JCT600 has announced a second season of sponsorship for Beverley’s Tickton Terriers U7 football team.

The second year of the sponsorship follows a remarkable season that saw the team cruise undefeated to win a tournament of older children without conceding a single goal.

The team has just completed a season in the East Riding FA boys’ league. Although the U7’s do not show a league structure, the team displayed impressive stats and of the 38 games they played they won 27, drew eight and lost just three.

Their performance even attracted attention from Leeds United who invited three players, Jacob Galloway, Bailey Young and Jevon Mills, to the Leeds United Development Centre at Bishop Burton.

The sponsorship by JCT600, which includes a branded kit, has given the team more opportunities to play and they were recently entered into the Hall Road Rangers U7 tournament. However, on arrival they found that their category was unavailable and went on to win all five games in the U8 category instead, playing against children one year older, without conceding a single goal.

Roger Allinson, brand manager at JCT600 Volkswagen Hull, said: “We are extremely proud to sponsor such a talented bunch of youngsters. Sport is important to so many children growing up and we appreciate the benefits it can bring to a community. The team has had a remarkable season and it’s been great to see their talent recognised by one of our region’s biggest football clubs. We look forward to continuing our support for the team next season.”

“We sponsor a great many sporting leagues in Yorkshire and a handful of teams too, and the Terriers are in good company alongside Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Bradford Bulls,” he added.
